Prototype in solid Irish Oak with hand-carved Oak Leaf Face Mask of the Green Man (Spirit of the Forest), a recurring image through history from our close links with trees in the past. Face mask is gilded with gold leaf. The image of the Green Man is ancient - it acts as a link to our past deep-rooted connection with the forests which were after all the lifeblood of the community which explains the reverence and protection they were afforded by all our ancestors. This table was also a prototype. |
