Cello Table
Cello Table
An example of how ideas for furniture pieces can originate from any source is that of the Cello table, the first of a limited-edition range of quality furniture pieces. Originally approached by a client to consider possible furniture pieces which could incorporate a piece of Burr Walnut veneer in his possession, Andrew St. Ledger perceived how the rich grains and shape of the veneer resembled those of string instruments such as the cello. Acanthus subsequently produced the original Cello table which has generated considerable interest to date (see magazine articles).
